Multicultural Engineering Program

Established in 1994, the Multicultural Engineering Program (MEP) offers a variety of programs designed to increase and enhance the academic performance of our students. The MEP is one means of addressing the critical issue of the under-representation of minorities, women, disabled persons, and first generation students in undergraduate engineering programs and industry workforce.

MEP currently serves as a support and resource center for African-American, Hispanic, Native American, Women, disabled, and first generation engineering and construction management students. We also offer assistance to all engineering students regardless of background, upon the student's request. Utilizing a number of collaborative strategies that involve parents, Engineering Programs faculty and staff, student organizations, the university community and industry, we make every effort to assist students in reaching their potential.
